As the global COVID-19 pandemic develops, we'll share resources for dance artists and announcements from CADA/East on this page.
In light of the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on working artists, we have lowered the Professional Membership fee from $90 to $60 for this membership year, 2020/21. The Associate Membership fee has also been reduced from $50 to $40. We hope that these discounts will help independent dance artists across Eastern Canada remain connected to CADA/East, even amid the economic uncertainty we're collectively facing.
CADA/East is dedicated to doing whatever we can to ensure that none of our community members are left without support. If our reduced membership fees remain an obstacle to your joining CADA/East this year, please email cadaeast.membership@gmail.com, and we will find a way to meet your needs.Changes to the Training Subsidy Program
In light of the suspension of many classes, workshops, and working commitments due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CADA/East has postponed the spring TSP period. This portion of the TSP would usually cover training completed between March 1 and May 31, 2020, with a claim form submission deadline of June 1, 2020.
For many in our communities, trainings within this timeframe have been cancelled. However, if you have trained within this period, including participation in any form of online or at home classes, you can submit those receipts on October 1, 2020, alongside the first TSP claims period of the 2020/21 membership season.
