Through their Performing Arts Internships they support the creation of paid internships opportunities for administrators, choreographers, composers, conductors, designers, directors, playwrights, and production staff. Their Creative Strategies Incubator program helps companies explore new strategies in meaningful ways, nurture the organizational change that comes from developing and implementing innovation, and foster a culture of shared learning. The Canada Council for the Arts provides funding to organizations for consultations with a specialist or expert in order to develop new management practices, explore alternative organizational structures or seize valuable opportunities that clearly address the objectives of the program through a program entitled Leadership for Change: Grants for Organizational Development. The Ontario Trillium Foundation’s core business is making grants in community-based initiatives that help build healthy and vibrant communities across Ontario. Investigate their various funding programs through their Investment Streams. The Laidlaw Foundation: to apply for a grant you do not need to have charitable status or to be incorporated. However they do not fund individuals - you must have a group of people you are working with. Canadian Heritage through the Canada Arts Training Fund (CATF) contributes to the development of Canadian creators and future cultural leaders by supporting the training of artists with high potential through organizations that offer training of the highest calibre. The CATF supports the ongoing operational activities of professional training programs offered by independent, not-for-profit, and incorporated Canadian organizations. |
