MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY 

What is a "professional artist"? 

CADA/East currently recognizes a professional artist as someone who fulfills one or more of the following criteria: 

• Has specialized training in the dance field (not necessarily in academic institutions),
• Is recognized as such by peers (artists working in the same artistic tradition), 
• Has a history of public presentation or publication, 
• Spends a significant amount of time practicing their art, and seeks payment for their work.

All CADA/East members must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or be legally allowed to work in Canada. 

When applying for a CADA/East membership, a recent bio or resume describing your latest dance projects and/or training is required for approval.
