TO Live - Explorations Initiative

Explorations is an initiative inviting artists to apply for funding to undertake research of an idea or technique. It was created in recognition of the importance for artists to have the creative space and time, free from the pressure of predetermined outcomes, to feed artistic ambition and to explore the possibilities of their own practice.

Funding ($7,000) will be offered to 6 Toronto-based artists, artist collectives, or project-based arts organizations. Mindful of the value of artists’ time, we have kept the application requirements straightforward so artists can focus tightly on their research proposal.  We are looking for the strength of their core idea.
